Torture Continues...

This is why that gritty walk off win in Game 4 was so important...

Everyone knew how hard it would be to close out a team like the Phillies. But to split the 2 games in Philly, then take 2 of 3 in San Francisco. I'm willing to bet that anyone would take a 3-2 lead going back to Philly if we had said that would happen before the NLCS began.

And so lives torture. Not so long ago, the Giants had a 3 game lead on the Padres, and were forced to take it to the last game of the season to clinch the NL West. We turned to one man... Jonathan Sanchez. He delivered a gritty performance and we ended up clinching that very day instead of being forced to play another game in San Diego.

We turn to that same man on Saturday. We're out to get our 2nd win against Roy Oswalt since his 9th inning loss in Game 4. The Giants are primed for a celebration on their opponents field. And this time they will not let it slip away.

We avoided a game 5 in the NLDS, we can avoid a game 7 here as well

Torture LIVES

... and I couldn't be happier.

  1. Well put, no announcers on TV would've given the Giants credit or predicted they could get a 3-2 jump on the Phillies going in. We'll wow them some more on Saturday:)
