Solving a Giant Debacle

Good NEWS!

Giants are currently riding a TWO game win streak against the Brew Crew, winning both games 6-1

Bad News...

We're still 6 games behind the 1st place Padres in the NL West and in 4th place with another 2 games in Milwaukee + a series in our nation's capital.

Right now I'm trying to wind down from my disappointment in the epic collapse the Giants had against the NL West teams and focus on the future. We have a good core of guys in our lineup, Buster is looking better every day as our everyday catcher and the starting rotation is solid despite its recent hiccups.

For example, anyone see yesterday's solid start from Madison Bumgarner? The kid got his first major league win pitching 8 shutout innings and striking out 5. I'm starting to see what kind of pitcher he's going to be. That high fastball is very deceptive at 89-90 mph and he fooled hitters more than a few times making them look straight up silly.

Anyway, in this shortened post I wanna hear from you!

Question:

What do you want to see the Giants do starting the 2nd half to right the ship and get us back in the playoff race?

All responses will be in my next post with my reply.

Laws of the Day

Buster Posey has flashing some power in the opposite field with a homer against Colorado to right center and another homer against the Brewers in right. Buster has 3 on the year.

Congrats to Tim Lincecum and Brian Wilson for making their 3rd and 2nd All Star Appearances respectively.

Timmy despite a medicore start is still 8-3 and B-Wheezy has saved 22 games in 24 apperances as one of the most dominant closers in the NL so far this year.

  1. Hitting power, hitting power, and hitting power. Our best games seem to be when we get enough guys on base and bring them home. I know it sounds common sense, but the truth is no matter how good our pitching and fielding we can't win games if we don't offer up some big hitters.
